A Trip to Connecticut

We left on the morning or June 11, eight people in one van, three more in a small sedan, on a 26 hour trip, west through Georgia, and north along I95 up to Connecticut. Our first day of shooting in the north was at Anna Woodruff's house in North Haven CT, where we shot everything in the script that took place at "Faye's House". We captured some amazing footage, and our actors delivered performances that blew us all out of the water. We also had a military Jeep from 1970 at the house for select scenes. The second day of shooting was all designated to shooting the scenes on and around the field, including the proposal scene, and some of the final scenes. We also had a reporter from the local paper join us on set to interview members of the cast and crew. Following the end of principal photography, we are expecting to have an article in select Connecticut newspapers, and perhaps a segment on the local television program. Any publicity will be linked on this blog. On the third day, we shot the sequences with the cars. We had a 1962 T-bird and a 1969 MG on set. After smooth shooting, the 9 cast and crew members drove to Montauk, NY, to shoot the final scenes early the next day. Peter Guss joined us on set, playing the lead character’s father. Mark Oleary was kind enough to let us use his house for a short scene that we wrote in during production.
